Iconic High-Rise Office Tower

Rising 304 metres over 55 storeys, Menara Telekom is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most recognisable skyscrapers. Designed with a distinctive curvilinear form inspired by Malaysian sculptor Latiff Mohidin, the tower symbolises a sprouting bamboo shoot, earning it the nickname “Bamboo Tower.”

The building accommodates Telekom Malaysia, the country’s largest telecommunications company, across the lower 16 floors, with the remaining levels designated for premium commercial office use.

Optimised Air Distribution for Tall Buildings

AET delivered an underfloor air conditioning (UfAC) solution designed to reduce construction costs while enhancing occupant comfort and long-term flexibility. The system incorporates 227 CAM—V33 downflow units and 1,800 TU4 Fantile™ units, strategically integrated into the building’s structure.

The modular nature of the UfAC system allowed air conditioning installation to be deferred until the tower reached its 40th floor, supporting programme efficiency. The TU4 Fantile™ units were seamlessly accommodated within a 350 mm floor void, enabling flexible workspace reconfiguration over the building’s lifecycle.

A symbol of intelligent and sustainable architecture, Menara Telekom Tower has achieved a 6-Star Green Rating, recognising its energy-efficient design and commitment to environmental performance.
