A Landmark in Height, Efficiency and Innovation

Located in Hong Kong’s Central Business District, The Center is the city’s fifth-tallest skyscraper, rising 346 metres over 80 storeys and offering panoramic views across Victoria Harbour. Completed in 1998, it was the first building in Hong Kong to adopt underfloor air conditioning (UfAC).

Originally designed to reach 381 metres, the integration of AET’s UfAC system enabled the overall height to be reduced by 35 metres, delivering significant cost efficiencies of approximately USD 7 million in curtain walling alone — around 10% of the total construction cost.

High-Rise Performance Powered by UFAC

AET Flexible Space delivered comfort cooling across 59 floors of speculative Grade A office space, installing over 6,500 Fantile™ units to provide a highly efficient, flexible and occupant-focused indoor environment. The system contributed to the building achieving Class 1 Air Certification. In 2017, The Center was sold for a record HKD 40.2 billion, making it the most expensive office building ever sold globally.
