Community-Focused Civic Building

The new Warilla Library is a purpose-built civic facility developed as part of Shellharbour Council’s Libraries & Museum Strategy 2014, delivering upgraded library and community services for the local area.

Replacing the original 1968 building — which was poorly located and not designed to support modern library functions — the new AUD 5.6 million development provides a flexible, future-ready environment aligned with contemporary community needs. The project marked AET’s first installation in Australia, delivered in collaboration with local agent Air Solutions International.

Optimised Air Distribution for Tall Buildings

AET Flexible Space delivered an underfloor air conditioning (UfAC) solution using a CAM—V system configured across four zones, each served by a dedicated CAM—V downflow unit. Approximately 48 TU4 Fantile™ units (around 12 per zone) deliver comfortable, low-velocity air directly into occupied spaces, with return air extracted at high level for reconditioning.

The system is fully networked and controlled via Flexmatic Touch, with BMS integration through Modbus, enabling intuitive control, monitoring and long-term operational efficiency.
