SheBuilds — Second Edition!

SheBuilds
Second edition!

From an idea to a growing movement

What started as an idea to bring women in the built environment together has quickly become something much bigger.

Following the success of our inaugural edition, SheBuilds: Women Shaping Space returned for its second gathering — this time with double the attendance, welcoming an even wider circle of women across property, construction, architecture, engineering, design and development.

Created by AET Flexible Space, SheBuilds was born from a simple belief: that creating space for meaningful connections matters. In an industry still heavily male-dominated, we wanted to bring women together in a setting that felt warm, open and genuinely welcoming — a place to meet, reconnect, exchange ideas and champion one another.

Different backgrounds. Same industry. Shared ambition.

One of the most rewarding things about SheBuilds has been seeing the breadth of women it brings into the same room.

From rising professionals to industry leaders, from technical specialists to client-side teams, the evening brought together women from different generations, cultures and disciplines — all contributing to the same industry: the built environment.

What makes these evenings special is not only the networking, but the openness. Honest conversations, shared experiences, new introductions and familiar faces coming together with a common understanding of the challenges — and opportunities — of building careers in our sector.

An atmosphere designed for connection

Hosted at the beautiful Pavilion Club in Knightsbridge, the evening embraced the signature SheBuilds atmosphere: relaxed, elegant and intentionally personal.

With thoughtful details, candlelight, flowers, exclusive cocktails, bubbles, and plenty of conversation flowing, the event moved away from the traditional networking format and instead created something more natural — a space where meaningful conversations could happen without name badges and formalities getting in the way.
Let’s not forget the dancing!

Because sometimes the best professional connections happen when people simply feel comfortable enough to be themselves.

  • No one throws a party like AET. A fabulous night at the beautiful Pavilion Club Knightsbridge for the AET Flexible Space SheBuilds event, always a pleasure to spend the evening with such likeminded, determined & incredible women.

  • A fantastic evening spent connecting with women across the construction industry… Events like these are such an important reminder of the value of building strong networks, supporting one another, and celebrating the growing presence of women in construction.

  • Had such a fabulous evening at AET Flexible Space’s second SheBuilds event. Incredible turnout… It was lovely to see so many familiar faces from last September’s inaugural event and celebrate another room full of inspiring built environment women.

A thoughtful farewell

No SheBuilds evening would feel complete without the thoughtful finishing touches.

Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was gently scented by beautifully curated Jo Malone candles, bringing warmth and calm to the space and adding to the relaxed, welcoming feel of the event.

As the evening came to a close, guests were invited to take home their own beautifully wrapped candle — a small farewell gift, and a little reminder of the evening.

Every detail was designed the AET way — with hospitality in the smallest touches, creating moments and memories that last.
