The building
Originally built in 1880 by the National Penny Bank Corporation Ltd, Pennybank Chambers has been thoughtfully reimagined behind its retained historic façade to deliver exceptional new office space.
Completed in early summer 2020, this project by Emrys Architects strikes a careful balance between heritage and modernity — preserving the distinctive brick frontage, a key requirement within the Clerkenwell Conservation Area, while introducing bright, contemporary interiors designed for today’s workspace needs.
The reconfiguration project boasts six newly constructed, 1,900 sq. ft. floorplates and a fully glazed roof extension with a terrace offering breathtaking City views, this space is designed to inspire.
